Why I Left the Partner Program

my own image, sidewalk “art”!

Yes, I removed myself from the payout Partner Program.

Why?

Was this because I was only earning maybe $00.20 a month?

Was this reason because I did not have the time to develop certain writing skills?

Yes, to a degree.

What I *really* want Medium to be, for me, is to have me blog my feelings and my thoughts. These writings might could be somewhat “raw” and not organized according to writing technique. I would not receive many cents for this type of writing in the partner program.

[good thing I have Grammarly! “pardner” is how I say the word, but Grammarly shakes her head like my 8th-grade school teacher, pointing to me and saying, “no…no…no!” Please, you all, do not get me started on “wader, madder [matter], or “Atlanna”…{or “Atlanda”} Spellcheck: hush your mouth!]

I have no axes to grind. I am a “storyteller”. I am a country boy with a thick slathering of book learning. I use “reckoning” instead of “thinking” as a manner of speech. “Reckoning”, to me, is closer to the ground!

So.

I will write from time to time and then also read the comments to other articles and maybe reply to some of them.

I also may republish some of these articles on my Facebook page.

[edit. June 23.] I thank you all for you all’s support and suggestions. I find deep irony here! Before I left the partner program, I often got from .05 to .20 cents per month on the Program. Plus, very few people read my writings. I felt not really “into” writing more, very much, as I have many other things to do. So, when I left, so many people gave claps, why I am now facing near one hundred notifications! The irony is… that I would never have had all of this support if I remained with the Program!!

*Now* I am inspired to write more!

I will also link more with my Facebook page.
